Ben & Cheryl Dimson

Today, Porsche is one of most well-respected automotive brands in the world. Ben and his wife Cheryl Dimson are former Porsche designers whose influence helped shape some of the brand’s most iconic eras. Ben was part of the design team behind cars such as the 928, 944, 959 and ultimately led the exterior design on the 964-generation 911 during his time at Porsche in the '80s. Cheryl also worked as the head graphic designer and art director during that same era, that has also led major design projects such as re-designing the Porsche crest, custom font scripts and art directing many of Porsche’s branding and advertising initiatives going into the 90s. Together, they represent a unique and creative chapter in Porsche’s design and brand history.

Their time at Porsche not only shaped their careers but also deepened their shared love of design, craftsmanship, and storytelling through form. Today, they carry that spirit into everything they do, with a quiet, and lasting influence that’s still felt by car enthusiasts around the world. While they both are enjoying their time in retirement, Ben still keeps busy on his own personal design projects while Cheryl runs a garden and landscape design consultancy.
