Erik Dueñas is a South Central Los Angeles native whose journey embodies the dreams of young soccer players across the world. Growing up in a close-knit family, Erik discovered his passion for soccer at a young age, honing his skills on local fields while balancing the challenges of life in a vibrant but underserved community.

At just 11 years old, Erik joined LAFC’s academy, becoming one of its inaugural members. His talent, dedication, and humility quickly set him apart, leading to a professional contract at the age of 15—making him one of the youngest signings in Major League Soccer history. Erik's rise wasn’t without adversity, including setbacks like injuries that tested his perseverance. Yet his determination and connection to his hometown have kept him grounded and focused.
