Don’t Forget Where You Came From
Stephanie Simon’s story is one of determination, leadership, and breaking barriers, both in and out of the ring. As one of the very first female Marine Corps captain in history, she served in combat arms, commanding a platoon of 50 Marines in an environment where women hadn’t been allowed until 2016. Facing skepticism and resistance from her male counterparts, she was able to establish herself as a leader, responsible for amphibious assault vehicles used in critical combat operations.
Simon's athletic journey began with wrestling and soon after she transitioned into boxing. She quickly made her mark, winning multiple national titles and ultimately won the Team USA Olympic Trials in late 2023. Unfortunately she was not picked to be on the Olympic team but she continued to push forward and made the decision go the route of professional boxing and moved to Santa Monica, CA to train with some of the best in the sport. Her drive to excel in a male-dominated sport, paired with her military background, gives her an unmatched edge both mentally and physically. Her resilience and “never give up” attitude have been evident throughout her entire life. As she embarks on her professional career, she represents not just a fighter in the ring but a trailblazer for women all over the world. As of September 27th, 2024, Stephanie successfully made and won her professional boxing debut in Atlanta, GA in a historic all-female boxing event.
She is also a multifaceted talent with a passion for entertaining. She can sing, play many instruments, write, act, and even crack jokes with ease. Stephanie truly aims to transcend the sport and be a positive role model for all that follow in her footsteps. With a highly respectable background and foundation in the military, she will never forget where she came from and the hardships that helped shape her to become the best version of herself.
